The Church of Self Love, 2022

The Church of Self Love consists in presenting a series of proposals that are activated through the inclusive and presential performative action. It occurs through the human Susana Gonzalez-Revilla and it is born from the desire to offer tools that generate self-esteem. It has two angles because the artist, who introduces herself anonymously, only as a representative of the church, attends parallel settings, both ecological and urban. She asks forgiveness from nature for the abuse and lack of care created by humanity making both physical and spiritual offerings to mother earth. The Church of Self Love in an urban setting offers a series of tools and proposals in order to grow in self-esteem. It is a referential art piece in that the artist incarnates a prophetic figure that invokes the divine light of creation and the inner self as one divinity.
